We have eggs!!!!

We got our first egg creations! HOORAY!!!! It's a Double Egg-cellent Submission. Christine A. submitted two eggs. They are adorable. What does everyone think?

Silver egg

Morning blogger, 

Last and final egg comes from Sue 


Materials Needed:

Viva Decor Inka Gold colors: Lava Red, Emerald green, Indian Yellow, Cobalt blue, Violet and Platinum
Paper towel
Kitchen Sponge w/ (scrubby side)
Red paint 
Water
Paint brush

First Sue rubs on the different colors of Inka Gold all over the egg. When the egg is dry. Sue buffed with a paper towel to make it shine.  After she was done buffering she added the Inka-Gold Platinum to the whole egg covering the other colors. She then buffed that platinum. Sue then took a dry kitchen sponge using the scruffy side, scratched parts of the platinum off to reveal the colors underneath.  Finally she mix red paint and water thinning the paint out. She then takes the paint brush and splattered the paint all over the egg. Tada!!!!! You get this perfect shiny egg. I hope you liked it and you try this technique yourself.

Hope Egg

The next EGG-stravagant egg creation comes from LynnMarie. 


Materials Needed:
Viva Décor 3D Stamp Paint – Moss Green; Turquoise Blue
Acrylic Paint Dabber – PearlThe Crafter’s Workshop StencilTim Holtz Ideaology – Baubles; Memo Pin; Foliage; Adage TicketDistress Ink – Bundled Sage; Vintage PhotoTim Holtz Rock Candy Dry Glitter (optional)Perfect Pearls Mist - PewterBlending Tool/Foam; Distress ToolPersonal DrillHeat ToolSponge or Sponge Dauber


LynnMarie started by sponging Moss Green Paint onto the Egg then she sponged Turquoise Paint over the top of the Green. LynnMarie then added Pearl Paint using Stencil.  She then sprinkled glittered on Pearl Paint while wet.  She repeated stencil pattern as desired. LynnMarie then picked an Adaged Ticket and crease.  She distressed the edges and inked Tag with Distress Inks.  Then she misted Perfect Pearls on the ticket. Dry with a heating tool. LynnMarie drilled a hole in the top of the egg.  Then she added Foliage, Bauble and Memo Pin. Finally LynnMarie added Ticket to Memo Pin.  Voila! Beautiful Egg creation.

Tie Dye Bunny

The next egg-celent egg creation comes from Maria.
 




Materials Needed:
Tim Holtz Acrylic Distressing Paint-Seedless Preserves and Salty Ocean
Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Set-Mini Blueprints #2
Ranger Dylusion Spray-Bubblegum Pink
Ranger Distress Ink Pad-Walnut Stain
Ranger Distress Makers-Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo
Ranger Water Brush
Watercolor Paper 
Wink a Stella Brushes-Glitter Yellow
Heating Tool
Pearl Ribbon
Crepe yellow Ribbon 
Spray bottle
Glue dots
Tim Holtz Scissors 

Maria started off dabbing spot of the distress paint all over the egg alternating between the two colors of Distress Paint. While the paints are still wet Maria sprayed the paint with the Dylusion Spray and water alternating between the two. Then she moved the egg around making the paint drip and swirl into each other. When desired effect was reach she dried with a heating tool. She then stamped on a white piece of watercolor paper the bunny from the Mini Blueprints stamp #2. Maria colored the bunny by outlining the bunny with walnut stain and filling in the middle with vintage photo. Then she took the water brush and pulled the color from the outline of the bunny to the center blending the two colors. She colored the bow of the bunny with Wink of stella brush. Then she took the crepe ribbon tide it around the the egg making a bow. Maria then made a smaller bow out of the pearl ribbon, she then attached smaller bow to the yellow ribbon. Maria then cut out the bunny with scissors trying not to be straight she wanted a wavy cut. When finished she attached the bunny to the egg with a glue dot. TADA!!!! A tie dye egg. Spring is Sprung

The next Egg-citing egg Creation is from Miriam




Materials Needed:

Tim Holz Distress Stains-Victorian Velvet
Outline Stickers-Butterflies and Flower 
Wink of Stella Brush-Glitter Blue, Glitter Green, Glitter Violet, Glitter Gold and Silver


Miriam started off painting the egg with Victorian Velvet Stain. Let dry. Then Miriam places the outline butterfly and flower stickers all over the egg. She painted the different outline stickers with the Wink of Stella Brushes. Tada!!!!!  Love this glitter egg from Miriam. Stay tuned tomorrow for another Great Egg creation.

Cutie Bunny

Our next egg-ordinary egg creation comes from Renee
Materials Need:
Washi Tape
Quick Quotes-Pink Cheeks
 and Pink Cardstock
Black Rhinestone
White Wire
White pompom Ribbon
Glossy Accent
Glue dots


Renee first covered the egg with Washi tape.  Then Renee cuts out two ears using the white cardstock. Then she brushes a line of QQ Pink Cheeks down the middle of the two pieces of cardstock.  She then attaches the pieces to the back of the egg with more Washi tape. Renee adds the black rhinestones to the egg with glossy accents. Renee then cuts a small square out of pink paper. She then cuts four small piece of white wire to make the whiskers. Renee then attaches wires to the back of pink cardstock.  She then attaches the pink cardstock to the middle of the egg to make a nose. Finally Renee added three pom poms to the back make a tale. Great Job done by Renee this bunny is so cute. Stay tune to tomorrow for another great egg creation. Remember there will be a random drawing for comments as well as your creations.

Chicka Dee Egg

Our next egg-citing egg comes from Jean.

Materials Needed:
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink-Squeezed Lemonade
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist-Blackberry Cordial
Ranger Alcohol Inks-Purple Twilight, Pink Sherbet, Clover and Sailboat Blue
Ranger Glossy Paper
Chipboard
Reminisce Paper Happy Easter Line-Egg Hunt
Quickutz- Easter Cookie Cutter Punches Die and Grass Edge Cookie Cutter Boarder Die
Glue Dots
Pink Flower Ribbon

Jean started off inking the egg with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink. When she was done she sprayed the egg with Blackberry Cordial Glimmer Mist. While Jean was letting her egg dry,  she cut three 3"x11" strips of Ranger Glossy Paper. Then she inked one strip with Purple Twilight and Pink Sherbet Alcohol Ink, the two other strips she inked with Clover and Sailboat Blue. Jean cut out the Bunny and Chicks and the Grass using Quickutz Easter Punches Die and Grass Boarder Die.  Using the purple and pink strip to make the Chicks and Bunny's and the other two pieces of the green and blue strips to make the grass. Then she cut out 3 inch circle from Reminisce Egg Hunt paper and a of piece chipboard. She glued the Egg Hunt paper to the piece chipboard. She then took the smaller of the two piece of grass glued the ends together to make a circle. The other strip of grass she glued to the chipboard. She then took the smaller grass circle and glued it to the center of the of the chipboard circle. She glued the chicks and bunny's on to the grass using glue dots alternated between the inner and out circles of grass. Jean then cut the flowers from the Pink Flower Ribbon. She glued the flowers to the egg with glue dots. Finally Jean placed the egg in the center of the grass. Tada!!!!!! a Beautiful Egg Creation. Stay tuned tomorrow for another great creation.

Rainbow Egg

Our next Egg-traordinary Egg creation comes from Debbie.





Materials Used:
Ranger Ink Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber - SNOW CAP
Red Line Tape 
Tombow Markers: 443, 173, 925, 703, 055
Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter
Pink Ribbon flower.

First Debbie painted the whole egg with Snow Cap Paint Dabber.  After you let the paint dry. Debbie took several pieces of red line tape and wrapped it around the egg leaving big spaces between the tape. After she was done with that she pealed the top part of the tape off.  Debbie then she rolled the egg in Rock Candy Glitter coating the tape with the glitter. When that was done she took the Tombow markers and paint in the spaces to make a rainbow effect. And finally she added a pink ribbon flower to the top. Wella!!!!! A Cheerful egg that would but a smile on anyone face.

March Challenge Egg-travaganza

It Challenge time again!!!!!! It's our March Egg-stravaganza. Everyday this week will be featuring an Egg creation from one of the staff here at the Playground. Then It will be your turn.  

To start off our Egg-stravaganza is this beautiful Egg from Corinne.



Material Used:

Gesso 
Tim Holtz Tinsel
Fab Scrap - Metal Butterfly
Wink of Stella Brushes in Yellow, Green, Pink and Blue 


First Corinne Gesso the entire egg. After the Gesso dried she then wrapped the entire egg with the green and blue tinsel alternating between the two to make fat strips covering the entire egg. Then she Painted the butterfly with Wink of Stella brushes making spots all over the butterfly using all the different colors of the Wink of Stella brushes. Then she accented the butterfly with Stardust stickle. Tada !!!!! Spectacular glitter egg. Stay tuned to tomorrow next creation.
