LynnMarie started off inking Heart with Tim Holtz Distress Stain(Victorian Velvet). Then she used her heat gun to dry. She sprayed the heart with Ranger's Perfect Pearl Mist(Pewter) heating to dry as well. She inked the rope Twine with Stain. She let the rope twine air dry. After she let the rope dry she cut some to make a bow. LynnMarie then inked Flower Ribbon with stain. She heat dried the ribbon. Then cut it in half. She then cut Paper Stash Paper into bits of random sized and shaped pieces. She set pieces aside. LynnMarie then Die Cut Heart from Red Line Tape Sheet. Remove red top. She randomly placed pieces of cut paper onto the adhesive like she was making a mosaic tile. Leaving spaces between the pieces. Then she poured embossing powder over the entire heart gently pressing the embossing powder in the gaps. She then taps lightly to remove excess embossing powder. She then heat embossed powder. Let cool completely. LynnMarie added Glossy Accents to each piece of Paper. Let dry completely. She then removed backing from Mosaic Heart and adhere to the Paper Mache Heart…slightly off center. Then She used Glossy Accents to adhere Rope Twine around the Mosaic Tile Heart. Finally she adhered pieces of Flower Ribbon and Twine bow with Glue Dots. Voila! Done!!! Tin Mans Heart
The next Heart Creations comes Miriam
Materials Used
Ranger Metal Tape Sheets
Tim Holtz Embossing Folder - Steampunk
Ranger Alcohol Ink - Raisin and Pitch Black
Graphic 45 metal gear pieces
6 jump rings
2 chains
Miriam started off making this magnificent heart by running the metal tape sheets through Tim Holtz's (Steampunk) embossing folder. Miriam then used both raisin and pitch black Ranger alcohol inks on a blending tool and dabbed color over embossed metal tape. After she finished alcohol inking metal. Miriam added the metal tape to the heart covering the whole heart. To make the gear chain Miriam connected the Graphic 45 gear pieces with jump rings. Then add chains to both sides of the gears with two other jump rings. Then she attached the chain to each side of the hangers with the remaining jump rings. Tada! You have the Tin mans heart isn't that beautiful. Stay tuned tomorrow for another amazing heart creation. It almost time to see your creations.

We R Memory Keepers Gum Drop Brads - Hearts
Maria started off covering the whole heart with gesso. Then she painted the heart with Silk paint(Carmen). After the heart dried she took embossing dobber and cover the front of the heart. Before embossing liquid dried she covered with Ranger embossing tinsel(Red). She then heated the embossing Tinsel with a heat gun. She cut a heart out using the biggest Quickutz heart doily die in the Quickutz Heart Doily nesting set and red paper. Maria inked the edges of the heart with Quick Quotes Chalk Ink(Pink Cheeks). Then she attach the paper heart to the center of the paper mache heart with glue dots. She added the heart sticker from We R Memory Keeper - Love Struck set of stickers to the center of the paper doily. Maria used her paper piercer and put a whole in the middle of the sticker through the paper mache heart. She inserted We R Memory Keepers Gum Drop brad to the hole you just made. Then she painted the hanger with a Krylon Pen(Gold). Finally she added a Graphic 45 key to the left side of the hanger. Done!!! Another beautiful heart creation. Bronze Heart
Our next Heart creation comes from Debbie
Materials Used

Debbie started off painting the heart with Silks(Ice)covering the whole heart. After letting the glaze dry she then painted the heart with Viva Glitter Paste(Red). While her heart was drying she ran the Graphic 45 metal butterflies through the Embossing Folder(Tide). She attached the butterflies with glue dots and Glossy Accents to the center of the heart. Finally Debbie attached rhinestone crystals to the the center of the butterflies. Done!!! Stay tuned tomorrow for another great Heart Creation.

Victorian Heart

Action Wobbler
Corinne tore pieces of My Mind's Eye, Lavender-Fabulous paper and coated the back of each piece of paper and heart with Matte Medium. She used her finger to press pieces of paper to the heart for a good seal. Then brushed a coat of Matte Medium over the whole heart to seal. She used Tim Holtz Die - Love Struck and cut out the Cupid from My Mind's Eye, Lavender-About Me paper. She then inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Fire Brick. Corinne used an Action Wobbler to attach cupid to the heart. After attaching the cupid she then took a 20 inch piece of tulle and folder in half lengthwise and with a needle and thread, she gathered the up the tulle. She tied it behind the cupid and knotted thread to hold in place. She used a glue dot to attach rose to cupid's hand. Finally Corinne tied a piece of ribbon to the top of the hanger. Wella!!!!! Done. Love is in the Air!!! Have a Heart Challenge Time
It's Challenge time again. February is Have a Heart Challenge, each day we will feature a unique heart creation done by one of the staff here at the Playground. Then it will be your turn. There will be giveaways for participating in the challenge.

Paper Mache Heart
Charcoal pencil
Paper stump
PITT pens in grey, blue, red, black
Krylon Gold pen
Ranger products used:
Red Pepper Dabber

Dylusions Vibrant Turquoise ink spray
Ideology Tissue Wrap
Matte Multi-Medium

Distress Stains - Festive Berries, Salty Ocean
Ideology Crinkle Ribbon
Heat Gun
Gesso entire heart and hanger. Paint heart with Red Pepper Dabber (I opened dabber and used a brush), dry. Mix some Studio Gesso with Dylusions Vibrant Turquoise spray, brush over heart and wipe off. Cut hearts from Ideology Tissue Wrap, adhere with multi-medium, paint surface with multi-medium, dry outline heart with Gesso/Dylusions mixture, let dry. Use PITT pen in blue to outline outside of heart, smudge with finger, use grey to outline over the blue, smudge with finger, use red to color hearts and then outline inside of heart, let dry. Write "Love" using PITT pen in grey, go over most with PITT pen in black use charcoal pencil to outline inside of heart, smudge with paper stump. Paint hanger with Krylon gold pen.
Cut 2 yards crinkle ribbon, fold in half, stain half of one yard with Festive Berries stain and the other half of same yard with Salty Ocean stain. Dry flat with heat gun until almost dry then squish up ribbon and finish drying with heat gun. Repeat with second yard of ribbon. Tie to each side of hanger go over Love with Black Diamond Stickles
Done!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Have fun trying these techniques on your heart creation. Comeback tomorrow for another creative heart.

Marble Perfection
Marble Perfection
Our last and final ornament comes from Renee. First Renee paints the ornament with Silks Ice. Then she sprayed the ornament with Perfect Pearl Spray in Forever Red. Renee attaches green Ric-Rac around the middle ornament with Glossy Accents. Tada! You have this amazing ornament.

Vintage Christmas
Vintage Christmas
This elegant ornament comes from LynnMarie. First off LynnMarie starts of spraying a paper towel with water, then she spays different Dylusion Sprays on to a paper towel. Dry the paper towel. Then she sprayed the towel with Perfect Pearls Spray in Heirloom Gold. LynnMarie then took paper towel and attached it to the back of sticky back sheet of canvas. She cut the canvas into piece of different shapes and sizes, then she attached the pieces to the ornament with score-tape cover the ornament. LynnMarie then attaches the foliage eyelet and spinner to the bottom of the ornament with jump rings and glue dots and Glossy Accents. There you go!!! a Vintage ornament that you can pass down to future generations to come. Stay tuned tomorrow for the Final Ornament. Then it will be your turn.

Tinsel Time
Tinsel Time
This sparkly creation is from Miriam. Miriam started of coloring the ornament with Adirondack Paint Dabber in Snowcap. After she let the Snowcap dry which only takes a few minutes. She painted over the Snowcap with Silks Ice before the ice dries she sprinkle Rock Candy Dry Glitter over the ornament. Then she used Stickles in a variety of colors to make glitter spots all over the ornament. Finally she tied red, green, gold Tinsel around the top of the ball. Awesome job done by Miriam. The next creation comes from Debbie. She started off coloring the ornament with Silks (Marlard and Fern). Let Dry. After the ornament dries, paint the whole ball with Viva Glitter Paste (Dark Green). Then she attached Red and White bow ribbon around the ornament. Beautiful job done by Debbie. Stay tuned tomorrow to see next ornament.

It's begin to look a lot like Challenge Time!
I'm so excited it's Challenge time again. This months Challenge is Christmas Ornaments each day of the week, we'll post one of the team's creations, along with instructions so you can duplicate it or put your own spin on the project. But then the following week is all about featuring YOUR designs. All supplies that you need to duplicate our team's creations are available at the Playground. I will go first.
Sugar and Holly
I started cutting Echo Park This and That paper line(Christmas Countdown) into 2 inch squares. Then I used Glue and Seal Glossy finish to glue the squares down to the ball. After you glue down the squares. Coat the whole ball with the Glue and Seal while the glue is still wet sprinkle Ritz Micro Fine Glitter in Warm High Light over the whole ball let dry. I glued green bow making ribbon to the top of the ornament. I cut Quickutz Holly Punches to make the leaf and berries glue that to bow. Tada!!! you get this festive ornament.
