Back to Bloggin'!

Wow, can't believe it's been nearly a month since our last blog.  Ran into some technical problems when trying to transfer photos of the DT layouts -- kept stopping at picture 999 and of course I needed pictures 1495 and beyond!  Got through that and then just had to juggle work and other summer schedules.  So...it's good to be bloggin' again!  (Hope you're all enjoying the summer and scrappin' too!)

Time to catch up with a couple of the DT members.  Kathleen created a beautiful "Eternal Love" layout of some of her wedding memories using Creative Imaginations' Breathless line of papers.  Normally, you might not think to use such a bold red and black combo for wedding pictures -- but look how gorgeous!  All she needed was just a few finishing touches of red ribbon, silver leaves, a few embellies and journaling.

In Angie's "Brotherly Love" layout, she was challenged to use the daisy-themed Loolah paper line also by Creative Imaginations.  Love this touching layout that shows how her boys' relationship has "blossomed" through the years.  Being the Mom of two boys, daisies don't often find their way into her layouts!  She pulled out the Spellbinders to cut out a variety of scalloped and plain circles from different bits of the papers to make her own layered flowers.  And to be sure they were perfect for her "guy" page, she added "leaves" made out of the Tim Holtz tape measure ribbon.

As you check out their layouts, notice how both Kathleen and Angie cut their photos to span their 2-page layouts!
