Hi SP Bloggers ... had a bit of a computer gremlin that prevented blogging, but I'm back!  Looking forward to swinging by the Playground later today for the Wednesday Make 'n Take. They're always fun and a great way to get to use some of the latest products (and the Make 'n Take is free!).

So did you hear about this week's really cool promo going on at the Playground until May 20 -- $25 for $25 ...

Spend $25 in a single purchase of regularly-priced merchandise and you'll receive a Bonus Savings Card that represents a Playground store credit of $25!  Then, when you make a minimum purchase of $10, your Savings Card will provide you with $5 in spending money per month for five months (June through October).  Visit the store for details; some restrictions apply.

We've received a number of May Challenge submissions.  It's always so much fun to see the wide variety of creations that come from a single set of challenge guidelines.  Please don't be shy ... use our Challenges to inspire you to get your scrapbooking or cardmaking projects revved up again.  Here's a quick reminder of our May challenge that focuses on Moms and QuicKutz products. Scroll down to the May 1 blog for full details.

  • Create a layout, card or other project that is a tribute to Mom-hood and includes the use of a QuicKutz product (die cuts, embossing folders ... your call!).
  • By May 31, email your project photo (small size) to scrappersplayground.angie@gmail.com. In your email, please include your name since we can't always tell who you are by your email address).
  • By May 31, bring your project to the store to be part of a display for June 2 QK/Lifestyle Crafts visit.

  1. Hi.
I am new to not only your store but to card making too. I picked up your card challange for the month of May and I have some questions. There is a photo of completed card in the kit. Am I to follow that design or can I make something different? And am I allowed to add other things from my own stash to make something totally different?
    Thank you,
    Susan

  2. Hi Susan,

I think you may be referring to the Card of the Month kit? If so, the photo is provided to help you create the card based on the pieces provided. But of course we would encourage you to make it your own! Have fun and we hope to see you at the Playground again soon!
