Celebrating Independence Day!

Hi SP Bloggers ... Last call for your June Challenge submissions that are due July 7th (see the June 24th blog for details).  There's also lots going on at the Playground with guest teachers, classes, and more -- check out our July calendar!

So how do you celebrate July 4th?  Do you enjoy a lazy day at the beach?  Or maybe you pack up the kids and the picnic basket and head to the pool or a nearby park?  Do you go to NYC for the big fireworks display, or prefer to take in the local fireworks instead?

However you mark the holiday, remember to take pictures of the friends and family you share it with -- and also take pictures of the things that make the day unique.  Get in close to take snapshots of table decorations, flags, the food (big old burgers, corn on the cob, watermelon, red, white and blue decorated cupcakes...).  Then capture those memories in a layout.  Remember to journal too -- things like how you celebrated and what the holiday means to you.

Just a reminder, too, that the Playground will be closed July 4th.  Enjoy the holiday!
