LynnMarie's Star

Hello Bloggers:

It's time to release our next Star!  Today's Star is by our very own talented LynnMarie!!!!

Materials Used:
Blending Tool w/Foam
Paint Brush
H2O
Paper Towels
Heat Tool
Distress Paints: Chipped Sapphire; Fired Brick; Broken China; Salty Ocean; Tarnished Brass
Gesso Paint: White
Distress Ink: Gathered Twigs
Tim Holtz Ideology: Game Spinners; Long Fastener
Star

Lynne Marie painted the Star with Gesso. Let dry completely.  She then started on one side of the Star by randomly dabbing Distress Paints onto surface (not Tarnished Brass). She then blended the paints by using a paper towel and a pounce and lift motion.  She then heat stetted and repeated on the other side. Once completely dry: Start on one side of the Star – Cover the surface with Tarnish Brass. Immediately spritz H2O into hand and flick water onto the surface.  Watch and wait (about 60 sec). Then take a piece of paper towel and lay it on top. Press/pat and remove.  You should be left with a mottled effect (colors below with an erratic tarnish pattern on top).  Heat and repeat on the other side.  Then using the Ink Blending Tool/Foam – Ink the Star with Gathered Twigs.  Mist with H2O.  Wait, dab, heat. Swipe edges of the Star with Chipped Sapphire Paint and heat.  Pierce a tiny hole into the center of the Star. and attach Game Spinner with Long Fastener.  Repeat on the other side.

Way to go LynnMarie!  What an awesome Star!!!

We look forward to seeing the release of our next Star!
