3rd Card by our Card Designer Carol Celeste

Good Evening Bloggers:

Today we are releasing the 3rd card for this month from our Card Designer, Carol Celeste.   This card along with the other projects are hanging up on the wall to the right of the door as soon as you walk into Scrapper's Playground. Please feel free to ask any of our Staff for information on the products that were used on these projects.

3rd Card by Carol Celeste

Happy Anniversary

Supplies:
White Cardstock
Stamp Sets by Paper Smooches - Flowers: Calico; Sentiment: Good Gab
Inks:  Versa Magic Chalk Inks and Archival Jet Black Ink
Rhinestones

The “Calico” stamp set is a flower builder set. The flowers layer inside one another. To make building the flowers easier, I marked a spot on each stamp to know how to layer the flowers.

To create this card, I cut a strip of paper 1 ¼ inches wide and secured it across the card (a bit lower that center). Then I stamped the main flowers (in threes) trying to create a flow from top left to bottom right.  When I peeled off the mask, I was left with the blank area for the sentiment.  I debated about “defining” the sentiment space with the black lines or leaving it more open.  I opted for the lines.  Two hearts to “Dot the I”; a bit of blink in the center of each flower, and it’s done!

Great Job Carol!  I love the way you peeled off the mask!

  1. This card is beautiful. I don't understand how the stamps work?

    1. Hi Antonella, They are kind of like "nesting dolls" - one fits inside the other, so you can change the layers of color. But they are not symmetrical - that is why once I found how they "fit together" without gaps, I marked them with a permanent marker -- So I know how to fit them when I use them again. Does that help?
