4th Card by our Card Designer, Carol Celeste

Good Evening Bloggers:

Today we are releasing the 4th card for this month from our Card Designer, Carol Celeste.   This card along with the other projects are hanging up on the wall to the right of the door as soon as you walk into Scrapper's Playground. Please feel free to ask any of our Staff for information on the products that were used on these projects.

What's Up
?

Supplies:

Cardstock ~ Blue and White
Embossed Cardstock ~ Green
Versa Magic Chalk Inks
Viva Decor Pearl Pen
Archival Black Ink
Stamp Sets by Paper Smooches: Calico and Good Gab

The Calico stamp set is a flower-builder set.  Pieces can layer together to create your own flower combinations.   The solid flower was created by layering a small blue flower over the larger yellow one.  The spindly flowers were created by using one stamp, re-inking with 2 different colors and slightly off-setting it.   Versa Magic chalk inks give great coverage, and work really well with cling stamps. The hill was cut freehand – and I sanded over the raised embossed image on the green paper.  The edge was inked with a bit of the green.  The "What's Up?” sentiment is on one line.  I cut it apart to place it in the bottom corner.  The same effect can be achieved by selectively inking or masking parts of the image.

Great job Carol!

Happy Anniversary

Supplies:
White Cardstock
Stamp Sets by Paper Smooches - Flowers: Calico; Sentiment: Good Gab
Inks:  Versa Magic Chalk Inks and Archival Jet Black Ink
Rhinestones

The “Calico” stamp set is a flower builder set. The flowers layer inside one another. To make building the flowers easier, I marked a spot on each stamp to know how to layer the flowers.

To create this card, I cut a strip of paper 1 ¼ inches wide and secured it across the card (a bit lower that center). Then I stamped the main flowers (in threes) trying to create a flow from top left to bottom right.  When I peeled off the mask, I was left with the blank area for the sentiment.  I debated about “defining” the sentiment space with the black lines or leaving it more open.  I opted for the lines.  Two hearts to “Dot the I”; a bit of blink in the center of each flower, and it’s done!

Great Job Carol!  I love the way you peeled off the mask!
