The Latest Design Team Challenge...

We challenged the Playground Design Team to get their creative juices flowing with some of the fun papers and embellishments from Imaginisce. The paper lines used were Let's Roll (Tracey), Sweet Cheri (Angie) and Lucy Bird (Chevonne).

So did you notice ...

Tracey -- who always has the perfect pictures no matter what kind of papers she's given to work with -- didn't use the entire sheet of airplane patterned paper. Instead, she cut out a few clouds and planes that she used as embellishments. Love, too, how she journaled around the clouds. For her photo mat, she used the subtle patterned side of the "Choo Choo" paper rather than card stock. And she used a strip from the Straight Ahead paper for the bottom border.

Angie, a Mom to two teenage boys, managed to turn a "girly" paper into a layout about her son's experience at a Yankees' game -- and it works! She used a combination of the Heart Strings paper and the plain blue side of the Choco-La-Ti-Da paper. Add on some circle punches, altered chipboard hearts and even some pink (yikes!) Thickers by American Crafts, and you've got a layout about a boy at Yankees' Stadium. Who would've thought!

Chevonne used the Daisy May glitter paper to "color block" a layout about the Planting Fields Arboretum here on Long Island. The blocks of flower paper and the Flower Power paper used to create the outer border, are perfect for this layout about the beautiful gardens. Did you also see Chevonne's touching journaling at the bottom of the page? Many of us scrapbook to capture moments just like the one she writes about in this layout.

Watch for the rest of this month's Design Team challenge later this week. Stay warm!
